The Washington Chapter has two alumni organizations: Pacific Northwest Alumni of Alpha Delta Phi ("PNWAADP") and Alpha Delta Phi Foundation ("the Foundation").
PNWAADP is comprised of more than 1500 living alumni who graduated from the University of Washington between 1934 and 2007. The alumni elect a 10-man Board of Directors, who in turn elect a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
PNWAADP is responsible for overseeing the Washington Chapter's alumni operations. Historically, its principal roles have been to own and operate the chapter house, host alumni events, publish alumni newsletters, and mentor undergraduate members. At present, PNWAADP is also actively managing the Washington Chapter's effort to resume undergraduate operations at the University of Washington. With the assistance of Alpha Delta Phi International and other Alpha Delt chapters, PNWAADP will continue to oversee that effort until the undergraduate chapter is self sustaining.
If you have any questions about PNWAADP, or of you would like to serve as an officer, director, or volunteer of PNWAADP, please contact alumni@alphadelt.org.
Alpha Delta Phi Foundation is a tax-exempt charitable organization that is organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is separate from and independent of PNWAADP. The Foundation manages a portfolio of over $500,000, which has been used to fund and support scholarship, higher education, and leadership. Scholarship recipients have included pledges and members of the Washington Chapter of Alpha Delta Phi. However, the Foundation does not restrict scholarships to students at the University of Washington and/or students who are affiliated with the Washington Chapter of Alpha Delta Phi.
During the 2008-2009 academic year, the Foundation offered up to $100,000 in scholarships to students at the University of Washington, including pledges and active members of the Washington Chapter of Alpha Delta Phi. The Foundation’s scholarship program was thereby the most generous program in the University of Washington’s Greek system. Moreover, the Foundation is committed to maintaining a similarly generous scholarship program in 2009-2010 and beyond.
If you would like to make a donation to the Foundation, please visit the Donations page. If you have any questions about the Foundation or would like to volunteer on the Foundation, please contact alumni@alphadelt.org.
