Pacific Northwest Alumni of Alpha Delta Phi is exceedingly proud to announce that on November 1, 2008, the Washington Chapter initiated its re-founding class of 15 undergraduates, and initiated Frank Kitchell (AMHERST '39, WASH '08) as a Washington brother.
The initiation ceremony was followed by a banquet at Conibear Shellhouse, which was attended by more than 100 people -- including delegations from the British Columbia Chapter, California Chapter, and Alpha Delta Phi International. At the banquet, the brothers waxed sentimental, making a number of traditional Alpha Delt toasts and singing a number of Alpha Delt songs. Also, Alpha Delta Phi Foundation awarded a total of $15,000 in scholarships to the new Washington initiates.
Thank you for your continuing support for the Washington Chapter. Your support made that historic day possible. Thanks also to everyone who participated during the week or who assisted with organizing the banquet, including particularly John Katsandres (WASH '96), Doug Self (WASH '06), Bob Davis (WASH '92), Mike Self (WASH '92), and Chris Holt (WASH '92).
Importantly, as the undergrads transition from pledgeship to active membership, they will need continuing mentorship from the alumni. If you would like to mentor an undergrad with respect to any aspect of fraternity operations (e.g., physical plant, finances, literary, etc.), please contact Bob Davis (WASH '92) at BDavis@Microsoft.com.
