The Washington Chapter's beautiful chapter house, affectionately nicknamed "The Temple," is located at 2106 N.E. 47th Street. It is a classic Tudor-style mansion that was designed by famous Seattle architect Elizabeth Ayer, underwritten by prominent Alpha Delt alumnus Henry Warren Austin (Williams 1888), and completed in 1928.

During World War II, the Washington Chapter leased its chapter house to the United States Navy, which used it as a training center. After World War II, the chapter's membership increased rapidly. To accommodate the chapter's growth, the chapter's alumni association bought the adjacent lot east of our chapter house and dramatically expanded. The expansion, known as the "new section," was completed in 1968, and it more than doubled the chapter house's living space.
Since 2001, more than $500,000 has been invested in renovations into The Temple’s individual rooms, common areas, tuck pointing, boiler room repairs, and purchases of new furniture, fixtures, and equipment. The Pacific Northwest Alumni of Alpha Delta Phi is committed to continuing its fundraising efforts as necessary and appropriate to ensure that the quality of our facilities and grounds is aligned with our ambitious long-term strategic objectives.
