Quick Bio: Micah was born and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin and attended a private school through 8th grade. As a freshman in high school, Micah moved to Vancouver, WA to live with his biological father and Chinese step-mother and attend a high school that would offer him a broader range of classes and a much larger opportunity for being noticed by prospective colleges. He ran 4 years of cross-country, including 2 years as JV captain and 2 years on the Varsity squad, as well as 2 years of track for Heritage. A motivated young man, Micah began taking courses at the local community college as a junior in high school and also began working at the local shopping mall. When finished with high school in 2006 and before coming to UW this past fall, Micah worked at Nordstrom in Vancouver and was promoted to their flagship store in downtown Seattle. While he worked there, he rose to the top few salespeople in the northwest and was quickly offered a management position at the Northgate location where he worked until recently. He is currently deciding on whether he is going to attend the UW for an additional year in order to achieve a Minor in Chinese, which he feels will be greatly beneficial for his future endeavors. Micah is a very dependable and dedicated young leader who strives for perfection in all aspects of life.
